More than 150 students and parents gathered at the Anniston City Meeting Center for the STEM Extravaganza, which was hosted in partnership with the City of Anniston, M&H Valve, Tyler Union, and AcaSTEMics. AcaSTEMics, founded by Group Environmental Director Jerome McQueen, aims to get more kids involved in STEM and increase community engagement.

The students spent the afternoon enjoying various hands-on activities to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Volunteers emphasized the diverse careers within the STEM field, including at least 40 careers that can be done at M/H-Valve, Tyler Union, and McWane. the STEM Extravaganza is one of many educational events AcaSTEMics and McWane have hosted in the past for local students.

The well-attended event was successful thanks to a joint effort from M&H Valve and Tyler Union volunteers. Thanks to all who attended!
