December 4, 2002
On November 7, 2013, Super Typhoon Haiyan hit the Visayas Region of the Philippines. AB&I Team Member Cris Forde’s family lives in the Philippines and she was relieved to learn that they are safe and was not affected by the typhoon. However 4 million other Filipinos were completely devastated. Because of her family connections to the region, Cris wanted to do something to help so she sent out an email to the AB&I Team asking for donations for the typhoon victims and was instantly overwhelmed with the outpouring of support and generosity from not only hourly and salaried team members, but officers and even friends of AB&I as well.
Team AB&I raised a total of $8,802.34! Special thanks to AB&I, Allan Boscacci and Kurt Winter for matching the donations raised. All donations went to the Philippine Red Cross via the American Red Cross for the relief efforts and aid in rebuilding the lives of the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
Cris was deeply touched by the generosity of Team AB&I and said “It truly is a blessing to work with people who care for each other!”
