McWane Valve & Hydrant contributes to AWWA's Hydrant Hysteria event

The McWane Valve & Hydrant group recently contributed their time and resources to the AWWA Hydrant Hysteria event at the North Carolina One Water annual conference. 

Hydrant Hysteria started in 2017. It is an annual competition hosted at the AWWA regional conferences followed by final competitions at the National AWWA Conference – ACE. Historically, Clow Valve, Kennedy Valve and M&H Valve have been the only sponsoring companies, providing practice and competition hydrants, parts and tools for utilities wishing to compete. 

The competition consists of men’s and women’s teams of two that work to assemble hydrants against the clock, suffering time infractions for instances of errors in component assembly or safety. Hydrant Hysteria has become a major AWWA event full of intense competition, screaming fans and dedicated participants that return each year to try to win the coveted trophies.
