OSHA recognizes McWane Ductile's Beat the Heat initiatives for second consecutive year
Congratulations to McWane Ductile for being recognized as a winner of OSHA’s Beat the Heat National Contest in the “Highlighting Indoor Heat Hazards” category for the second consecutive year.
In 2023, OSHA launched a national competition challenging employers, workers and others to share their best tools and resources for educating workers about the dangers of heat exposure in indoor and outdoor workplaces.
Open to all industries, the 2024 Beat the Heat competition challenges participants to capture and share images of how they work safely in the heat, hoping that showcasing images of useful strategies for protecting workers from the heat will encourage others to adopt similar practices.
McWane Ductile submitted a multi-channel communication campaign to increase awareness among their workforce about the risks of hazardous heat and to encourage protective measures when their workers are exposed to heat in the workplace. Their tools include: a direct mailer, a video, a blog, social media posts, heat awareness slides for digital screens around the facilities, and heat awareness posts for their employee communications app.
Keep up the great work, McWane Ductile!
