Control panels that supervise detection, actuation and releasing circuits for Amerex Defense fire suppression systems.

Explosion Detection and Suppression
Field-proven UV/IR detection provides high-speed optical flame detection while maintaining immunity to sources of UV and IR radiation to avoid unwanted system discharges. To reduce weight and the number of components, one of the detectors also contains a manual release switch and system control logic functions. Additional optical flame detectors can be added to cover larger and/or shaded areas of the hazard.

Zone Control Panels
The Amerex Single and Dual Zone Modular Control Panels are designed specifically for rugged military, off-road and commercial heavy duty ground vehicle applications. The lightweight Aluminum enclosure surrounds military qualified electronic components. Each Control Panel provides electrical supervision of power, heat detection, actuation and releasing circuits that can be used in combination with Amerex dry chemicals, liquid agents or aerosol generators in Amerex designed Fire Suppression Systems.

Dry Chemical Fire Suppression
Commercial dry chemical fire suppression systems have been protecting commercial over-the-road and off-road vehicle and military vehicles since 1991. These systems consist of pressurized agent tanks discharging dry chemical through a network of nozzles targeting the protected area. Dry chemicals have been proven to be some of the most effective firefighting agents available today.

Aerosol Generator Fire Suppression
When weight savings are a high priority and the space being protected is enclosed, aerosol generators could be the solution. This relatively new technology provides an alternative to conventional dry chemical or clean agent fire protection in some applications. The aerosol generator is actuated electrically discharging an aerosol over 10 to 20 seconds depending on the size of the unit. These units are disposable, being discarded and replaced after a discharge rather than refilled.
